Dear Client,
On the 1st of October 2004, Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic opened its doors for the first time. Lisette de Bruijn and I together started on this day a dream come true which is now even exceeding expectations. 5 years later we are a team of 22 dedicated animal care-givers and use state-of-the-art equipment which makes our work pleasant and efficient. Our only wish left now is additional space.
This newsletter therefore is dedicated to 5 Years ABVC. Lisette has written a story on how it began.
We have organized an interesting schedule
of celebrations for our clients including special events for the children.

We'll start with our opening ceremony with:

• a dress up-competition and the best “Couple”

• a closing ceremony with balloons for the children.

For each of you there will be a FREE party bag during these celebration days. Please bring your Coupon when you come to collect it.
On the 4th of October it is World Animal Day. On this day it is time to think of all the animals in the world and see if there is anything which we can do ourselves to improve their conditions. ->READ MORE (PDF)
We have opened a Stray animal fund towards which you can donate money. At the end of the week all donations will be calculated and the total will be doubled by Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic (maximum contribution of ABVC is 25.000 AED) so come in and donate your money for this great cause. ->READ MORE (PDF)
Janice and Sarita, two sisters, have organized “Miss AVA Dubai 2009 (Ambassador with a Voice for Animals)” in order to try to establish awareness on bird and animal welfare throughout the UAE. The lady crowned Miss AVA will hold the title for a year and will educate the public and in schools and will also try to make changes in pet shops etc. Besides this she will assist where necessary both K9 and Feline Friends (all proceeds of the event going to both these organizations).

Our clinic has lined up with this and offers its clients from the 16th of September till the 15th of October a 10% discount on dental procedures performed.
