Please allow a maximum of 2 working days for a reply.


We would like to draw your attention to the pet owner awareness program of the Veterinary Section of the Dubai Municipality. The Section has issued laws and regulations for dog owners on registration and immunization.

In short, this means that:

  • all dogs should be vaccinated, registered and wear an up to date Municipality tag.
  • dogs are prohibited at parks, beaches, entertainment venues, shopping malls etc.
  • certain breeds that are deemed dangerous should wear the mandatory muzzle or face mask click here for a list of dogs for which this applies.
  • dog waste has to be removed at any time and put in a plastic bag before discarding.
  • the owner is always responsible for it’s dogs actions even when the animal is lost or has gone missing.
  • in case the owner leaves the country, he/she will remain responsible for the care and welfare of the animal during his stay abroad.

Violations of these rules will be fined.

A team of our doctors have attended an ophthalmology course this month in order to have an even better understanding of eye related illnesses and diseases. Read more.


14 November all the kids are welcome in the clinic to meet the “Zwarte Pieten ” Catpete and Dogpete. This is a Dutch traditional celebration where the “Zwarte Pieten”, who are the helpers of “Sinterklaas” will bring candy and small presents for the children. Timing: from 11 am to 1 pm.

On 18 December, Santa Claus will be in the clinic for a chat, there will also be a face painter and the wheel of fortune will spin again (Dhs. 50) for the benefit of all stray animals in Dubai. Last but not least there will be a present under the Christmas tree for all the children. Timing: from 2 pm to 5pm.


Royal Canin has launched 2 new products. The first product is Calm for dogs and cats. This product helps to reduce stress in animals under 15 kg when faced with stressful situations like moving house, a new baby etc. It helps to maintain the emotional balance of your pet. Read more.
The second product is Mobility for cats. This product was already available for dogs but now it is available for cats as well. Especially designed for cats with reduced room to manoeuvre. Read more.
In December we will have a promotion on On all Royal Canin Mobility products with 20% discount on the retail price.


We are proud to inform you that Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic will be the sole provider of Dogoform Orthopedic Dog Mattresses and Dog Beds in Dubai. These orthopedic mattresses and beds are a welcome addition to our range of dog beds, especially for dogs with orthopedic problems of any kind, but all dogs will benefit from sleeping on a Dogoform. Some clients are already aware of this, but we have been able to import First Aid Kits for Cats and Dogs and have these for sale in our clinic. This gives us the opportunity to inform you about what to do in the unfortunate event that your pet injures itself or is otherwise in need of medical attention.
