Rangers Community Service
Diverse group of cats & kittens are regularly brought to ABVC and finding their way to new homes now via the ABVC Rangers.
ABVC regularly has cats, kittens and dogs looking for homes and the Rangers make flyers, organize e-mails and help find new homes for all animals temporarily in their care. They will spread the understanding of over-breeding of animals and the way to prevent this by taking preventative measures, they will assure awareness of consequences of leaving a pet animal back on the street when leaving the country.
Members of ABVC rangers will have the possibility to build up community service hours. They will be involved in all aspects of animal care, they will be part of the marketing of the rangers group of children, develop the website and will be encouraged to forward ideas, make presentations, develop advertisements, develop care sheet information, work as a team of multi-cultural kids from age 8-18 years, take on responsibilities and think about issues as diverse as:
- animal care in the UAE,
- CITES related Issues, and
- environmentally related issues.
This is the start, it is up to the Rangers to make this GREAT!
