Emergeny - Prevention

Even though we will be at your service as much as possible, there are times that it is good to know some basic First Aid yourself. Don’t hesitate to call us if you have a question but here are some tips to prevent worse happening.

Note: below mentioned advice is far from complete but intended to give you an idea on how to solve some of the problems.

Don’t use human medicine on animals unless consulting us first, some medications meant for humans are actually dangerous if used on animals.

We provide Elizabethan Collars and have muzzles to prevent your pet from harming him/herself. We also organize First Aid Courses in order to have you better prepared if any such circumstances appear.

Protect your Pet from:

Electricity
Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, young Dogs and Kittens like to chew on lots of things, make sure they do not have access to electricity or don’t leave them unattended to prevent them from getting electrocuted.

Washing Machine/Tumble Dryer
For some reason cats & kittens love to crawl into your Washing Machine or Tumble Dryer. They will either drown or get overheated, please keep doors to these machines always closed.

Car engine
Cats like to find a place under the hood of your car close to the engine, especially kittens can crawl up really high. They are then unable to get out in time if you start the engine and drive away. Quite a few of them die or get badly injured this way when they fall out of the driving car in an attempt to escape.

Swimming Pool
If your pool does not have stairs to easily walk out of the water never leave your pet unattended near the pool, even the best swimmers can drown of exhaustion if they jumped in but are unable to climb the high sides.
